Winter Shield round 2 versus Hindlip 18th February 2018

It was an overcast day just outside Worcester today, Hartshill Strollers were visiting Hindlip in the second game of the Winter Shield.

Hindlip started the game better than their rivals, who gave the ball away with some bad passing choices, this resulted in Hindlip taking a chance to score after 10 minutes. This got Hartshill to get their game together and they started to get more of the ball, After 15 minutes, Adrian received a pass from Ray which he smashed into the net,  Hindlip then had a couple of chances which Paul, the Hartshill goalkeeper did well to save, Hartshill then scored another when Ray took a free kick which Gary stroked into the goals. Hindlip had a player sin binned at the end of the first half for his 3rd infringement.

Half time:- Hindlip 1 - Hartshill Strollers 2.

The second half started even, both teams had shots and Paul was the busier of the 2 goalkeepers, denying Hindlip the chance to equalise, Hartshill took control of the game from then on, with debutant Colin Gordon controlling proceedings from the back, a superb passing movement from Hartshill found Gary on the edge of the area where he calmly slotted home. There wasn't much time to play after this and there was no way back for Hindlip.

Final score:- Hindlip 1 - Hartshill Strollers 3.

Hartshill Strollers lead Hindlip by 2 games after the second of the 4 Winter Shield games. We look forward to the next game at Summerhill School on Sunday 4th of March.
