OLD GUARD BEATEN 0-2 IN FRIENDLY
OUR fledgling Over 65s team were beaten 0-2 in a home friendly against Droitwich on Sunday, November 5.
The visitors were a well-drilled outfit and deserved to win against a dogged – but hard-pressed - home side.
Droitwich might have notched up a bigger score but for excellent defending by Hartshill – and a series of outstanding saves by goalkeeper Dave Seddon.
The fixture was arranged as a warm-up for our Over 65s in advance of a tournament in Rochdale five days later.
It taught us we need to do better.
SQUAD: Dave Seddon, Martin Willetts, Les Evans, Terry Smith, Mick Burdis, John Moore, Richard Delahaye, Bob Haywood (all used).
