HARTSHILL Strollers beat Highley 4-0 in a home friendly on Wednesday, November 4.

Our team was mainly composed of new members to give them a taste of the competitive play.

They didn't let the club down. In fact, it was an extremely accomplished performance against an always-tough and constantly-improving team.

The visitors were comfortable in possession and the match was well balanced. But the difference was in the finishing with John Cooper and Kevin Weston each scoring twice - all four goals being corkers.

The Hartshill goal was regularly threatened but goalkeeper Stewart Lee bravely kept out the threat. At the other end, the visiting keeper played well and, without him, the score could have been higher.
