Friendly versus Hindlip on Sunday 9th of July 2017.

It was a lovely sunny day when Hindlip returned to Kingswinford for a friendly 6 a side game with Hartshill Strollers. This game was aimed at getting some of the newer and less experienced Hartshill players, playing a match and familiarising them with match rules and game play.

The game consisted of 2 halves, 25 minutes each way.

Hartshill Squad: Dave Seddon, Jason Howell, Ivan White, Pete Williams, Gareth Edwards, Andie Lissimore, Adrian Heath, Mick Burdis.

This was quite an action packed game, with near misses and penalties for both teams. Hindlip gave a penalty away when one of their players stepped into their own goal area, this was taken by Hartshills Mick Burdis but was saved by the Hindlip goalkeeper. Hindlip scored the first goal of the game taking them into the lead. Adrian Heath then scored for Hartshill by striking an excellent goal into the bottom corner of the net.

At the end of the first half, Hartshill also gave a penalty away when one of their defenders stepped into the goal area, this gave Hindlip the opportunity to go into the lead by scoring, at halftime Hindlip were 2-1 up.

In the second half, Hindlip gave away a penalty that Adrian Heath stepped up to take, but the Hindlip goalkeeper saved it, shortly afterwards, Andie Lissemore skipped through a challenge to smash the ball into the back of the net for a second equaliser.

There was still time for a winning goal from one of the teams but nobody could put the ball away.

The game ended with a satisfactory 2-2 draw.

Well done to both teams for an entertaining 50 minutes.

Man of the match, Hindlip goalkeeper for 2 superb penalty saves.
