STROLLERS THANKED FOR CHARITY DONATION

Club members Pete Williams and Adrian Heath - and their partners - have been thanked for donating £90 to a leading charity.

The two couples made up The Hobgoblins team which won the club's first quiz night at the Mount Pleasant on November 14.

Under the rules, the winning team is asked to give the proceeds from the entry fees to a charity of their choice.

The Hobgoblins chose Dementia UK . . . and now they have been sent an impressive certificate marking the 'fantastic achievement'.

The certificate - in the name of the club - is being framed with a view to being hung on the club's wonderwall at the Mount Pleasant.

The citation reads:

Thank You! Hartshill Strollers have raised an incredible £90 by holding a pub quiz.

This is enough to pay for expert telephone support for a family living with dementia.

Well done, The Hobgoblins, and everybody who took part in the pub quiz, which was organised by Kevin Weston and his wife, Fiona.
