New member Graham Crew played a key role in his team's victory by scoring a hat-trick at training on Thursday, February 1.
His top showing brought a smile to the face of team-mate and Over 65s manager Bob Haywood because the debutante is 68 and could play in a key role in the Super Seniors' upcoming fixtures.
Bob also claimed some reflected glory for the hat-trick as he provided the killer passes for two of Graham's goals, he tells this Blog modestly.
Graham's arrival is a boost for the 65+ squad as ever-popular, hard-working and talented 65+ and 60+ stalwart Terry Smith has had to give up the game because of chronic knee problems.
Terry's departure from the club is a sad loss. We wish him well.
