ALUN STILL HAS THAT GOAL-SCORING TOUCH
Super veteran Alun Hughes showed he has lost none of his goal-scoring prowess at training on Thursday, March 23.
Alun - at 85 the club's oldest player - helped his side to a 6-3 victory.
He fired a blistering left-foot drive beyond floundering goalkeeper Bob Haywood which was no mean feat as The Cat has emerged as a canny shot-stopper of late.
Indeed, he kept out two fierce efforts by the club's goal poacher and England triallist John (Cooperman) Cooper.
Alun has been given the nickname Thierry by his Thursday night club-mates because his playing style reminds them of Thierry Henry, ex-Arsenal and France.
The proud Welshman, who played at the top level in Wales in the 1950s, turns up for virtually every Thursday session, and is slowly rekindling his glory, glory days.
Well done, Alun!
